How To Make Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta? A Step-By-Step Guide!
Step 1
For this particular Fettuccine Alfredo recipe, we will be using store-bought Fettuccine pasta. But if you have time in hand, you can surely make fresh Fettuccine pasta at home.
Step 2
Next, take out your pot and place it on the gas stove. Once your pot is hot enough, add water into it and let the water simmer for a minute! Now, turn the flame down to medium and season the water with some salt. Then, after 10 seconds, add the Fettuccine pasta into the pot and boil it.
Step 3
Keep the flame on medium, and boil your pasta until it reaches the al-dente stage. Once your pasta is cooked properly, take it out of the boiling water and keep it aside. At this stage, if you want you can also store a bit of pasta water to use it later to make the Alfredo sauce.
Step 4
Now, heat up a pan and add butter to it. Keep the flame low and let the butter melt completely. Once your butter has melted away, add the Fettuccine pasta to the pan. Toss your boiled pasta in the melted butter and only then add a cup of grated parmesan cheese into the pan.
Step 5
You can also add half a cup of pasta water into the pan to form a solid base for your Alfredo sauce. Throughout the whole cooking process, keep the flame on low. Let the cheese melt properly and use a spatula to combine everything together.
Step 6
In case you feel there is not enough Alfredo sauce to coat all your boiled pasta! Feel free to add more butter and cheese to the pan. Generously season your Fettuccine Alfredo pasta with salt and pepper and then serve it on a fancy plate! Enjoy your Fettuccine Alfredo pasta dish with a glass of white wine on the side.
