Frog Eye Salad Recipe: A Step-by-step Guide Only For You

Step 1

At first, we need to take a glass bowl and clean it up thoroughly. Although we will use only a large number of ingredients, we will not use a large pot. Clean the medium size glass bowl, wipe the remaining moisture with another piece of kitchen cloth. Otherwise, you can just place it under open atmosphere and leave for 1 minute.

Step 2

Start to gather all the ingredients of the Frog Eye Salad Recipe. Take a saucepan of medium size and pour eggs and flour in it. Whisk it with a whisker first until there are no clots left in the saucepan. Pour in the pineapple juice, salt and sugar into the pan, and after that, start the heat. Keep your flame at a medium heat setting first.

Step 3

Take a wooden spoon and stir the mixture well. Cook this over medium low to medium heat and soon, you will notice the mixture starting to get thicker in consistency. In the meantime, if you notice lumps due to the flour, please break them off using a small spoon. After 5 to 6 minutes, if the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat entirely.

Step 4

As soon as you have achieved the consistency you desire, remove the saucepan from the stove. Turn the heat off completely and stir the whole thing for a minute well. Just in case the Frog Eye Salad gravy becomes too thick, add a little bit of warm water and stir well. Once it happens, put lemon juice and stir it well to combine.

Step 5

Let this cool for at least 1 hour by letting it sit at room temperature. This time will be enough for the whole mixture to cool down completely. Set it aside and focus on boiling the pasta now. Take a large pot and pour in some water into it. Place it over medium high heat and wait till the water starts to heat up. Add some salt and oil into the pot and wait till the water starts to boil.

Step 6

Pour in the acini de pepe pasta and let it cook till the pasta strands are starting to become tender enough. Keep cooking for the next 6 to 8 minutes and soon, your pasta will be al dente. Once you see that happening, drain and rinse under cold water thoroughly. Drain the hot water and remove it completely.

Step 7

Start to mix the cooked pasta and the egg mixture from before in a seperate bowl. Pour in the pineapple pieces, crushed pineapple, and whipped cream topping from above. With a wooden spoon, mix these well but be gentle while doing so. Refrigerate the whole thing in the freezer for at least 8 hours. Toss and pour marshmallows from above before serving the Frog Eye Salad.

Storage and Serving Options:

● Although it’s not impossible, we would not recommend you to freeze this dessert for long. Keep it in an airtight container. Like fruit salads that are out there, please try to consume this dish within 2 to 3 days. In case some liquid seperates, stir it well before serving.

● The Frog Eye Salad is a side dish that’s often served in parties in fancy dessert cups. You can also garnish it up with mandarin orange slices or a wedge of freshly cut pineapple.
