Trout Tacos Recipe In Detail – Steps To Follow

Step 1

To begin this easy trout tacos recipe, firstly, we will prepare a spicy and flavourful marinate for our trout fish fillets. For this, in a bowl, add one or two tablespoons of lime juice, paprika powder, chili powder, cumin powder, a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper.

Step 2

Dip your trout fish pieces into the marinate and keep aside. Next, in a pan, drizzle a bit of oil and shallow fry the marinated fish pieces until they are properly cooked. We are looking for a golden color here. Also, if you want, instead of oil and lime juice, you can use the same spices and mix them with flour and then fry the fish pieces.

Step 3

Once the fish fillets have cooked thoroughly, take them out of the pan and keep them aside. Now, move ahead to assemble the trout tacos. Take a corn tortilla, right in the middle of it, and place a piece of medium-sized trout fillet. For toppings, add chopped tomatoes, a few pieces of sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro on top of your taco.

Step 4

Elevate the taste of your trout tacos with a bit of lime juice. This will add freshness to your dish. Lastly, what’s a taco without a good drizzle of sauce? To bring all the flavors together, drizzle a generous amount of sour cream on top of your tacos. Enjoy your trout tacos with chilled beer.
