The first step will be to make the marinade, which will combine one tablespoon of fish sauce, a few cloves of garlic, minced cilantro, and basil, along with salt pepper, two tablespoons of oil, and sugar. Rub it very well on the piece of steak and let it sit for about 6-7 hours.  2. While it is being done you will get the dressing ready, which will include brown sugar, hot water, lime juice, two tablespoons of fish sauce, salt, pepper, chopped cilantro, and Thai basil. Mix it very well and adjust the consistency with water, so that it is enough for the entire salad. make sure that it needs to be soggy and not just lightly coated.  3. Then finally you will get the salad ready in which you will be adding the lettuce, baby Greens, scallion, cilantro, mint, Thai basil along with the cucumber and tomatoes. 4. Finally you will heat the grill pan, add your steak with some oil, and let it cook for a while, till it is properly cooked according to your liking. Make sure it is a perfect medium rare because that is how the salad will hold the authentic taste of the recipe. After it is done, take it off the heat and let it rest aside for quite a while before you chop it into thin pieces. 5. Now we finally come to the final step of the recipe, where we will be thinly slicing the beef steak. Then you will add the dressing that you have made into the salad. Mix it very well, and then portion the salad on each plate. 6. Finally you will be topping the salad with the beef slices, put some of the peanuts and Thai Chili pepper on top, and finally drizzle it with some more of your dressing. it is all ready to be served and devoured by your guests and family with a side of rice.  In this recipe, you can go for any cut-off beef as you want but we prefer to use skirt steak, because of the texture and the cooking time it needs.
