Fried Tofu recipe- a lot of variations within a single ingredient!

For the first step of Fried Tofu, you will be taking a chopping board and a knife, then you will make small cubes, or strips of tofu as you may like for the Fried Tofu and then set it aside. You will then take a kitchen towel or paper, and using that you will be patting down the tofu, so that the excess moisture gets absorbed, and it is all ready for the marination.  2. for the second step, you will take a big bowl in which you will be adding the tofu, along with your cornstarch, garlic powder, a sprinkle of salt, and soya sauce, and give it a good mix.  3. After all the pieces of tofu are properly coated, you will heat a pan, after adding a bit of olive oil, and when it’s all hot, you will be slowly placing a few pieces of coated tofu, not all at the same time. You will be frying all the sides, and flipping every once in a while when the Fried Tofu turns golden brown.  4. finally take them out of the pan, and rest them on some tissue paper, they are all ready to enjoy as snacks or for tossing in other sauces.  Fried Tofu in a sweet and sour sauce Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, one to two teaspoons of sugar, one teaspoon of corn starch, finely chopped green onions, 3 to 4 tablespoons of water. Steps: for the sauce, you will heat the pan, adding a bit of oil, and you will slowly add in all your sauces mentioned above, and keep stirring so that the sugar melts. after it has thickened, up a bit make a slurry with the cornstarch and water, and add it, so the sauce thickens, and then finally toss the tofu in the sauce and top it off with green onions.  Fried Tofu in spicy sauce Ingredients: 2 to 3 garlic cloves(minced), two tablespoons of finely chopped onions, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped green onion, two tablespoons of soya sauce, two teaspoons of gochugaru, two tablespoons of sesame oil, half teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds.  Steps: in a small bowl, you will add in all ingredients except the sesame seeds, and a small portion of green onion, then after heating a pan, you will add the mixture to warm up and get a bit sticky for about 1 minute, then finally toss in the tofu. serve it warm with toasted sesame and fresh green onions on the top.  Key Takeaways The above Fried Tofu recipe will be the same in all cases, and the sauce can be modified and made anything according to your preferences.
