The bread symbolizes love, peace, justice, and fun fact, different shapes of bread are made for different occasions. The bread was first called berches and dates back to the 15th century in Austria. The bread evolved over time and the heritage of the bread was kept alive as Jewish people migrated to different places (Poland, Eastern Europe, and Russia) they took the bread with them and kept it alive.
