Step 2

Next, we will cook and sauté the vegetables for our Shrimp Lo Mein in the pan for some minutes. Start by adding the carrot slices and yellow onion shreds into the pan and give it a slight stir. Step 3

After 1 minute, add the celery slices and Green Cabbage into the pan. Way to cook the vegetables properly for better taste while eating the dish. That’s why for the next 4 to 5 minutes we need to keep stirring vigorously and cooking the vegetables. Soon, the heat will cause them to start softening from the sides first. After 5 minutes, all your vegetables will be tender enough to be cut with the side of a spoon.

Step 4

Once it happens, bring the heat down to a medium setting for a few seconds and stop stirring. Pour in the minced garlic cloves and with a spoon, make sure it gets properly distributed throughout the oil. Once it happens, please season the veggies with Kosher Salt and Black Pepper uniformly. You can add a few smidge of Paprika, but the authentic recipe does not have that as a traditional ingredient.
