How To Make Cobb Salad? A Step-by-step Guide Only For You

Step 1

First and foremost, we will have to carefully gather all the dressing ingredients together. Place them aside and take a large jar or a large container. For best results, we have taken a glass jar in our recipe. Take a kitchen cloth, make it wet a little and then, clean the insides of the jar carefully. Make sure you are leaving no water or moisture behind after wiping it with a dry cloth too.

Step 2

Place the dressing ingredients together into the glass jar first. Put the lid on and shake the jar vigorously so that all of them get combined properly. Set this aside and let the Cobb Salad dressing mix rest for some time. Now, with a sharp kitchen knife, cut the chicken breast apart from the middle. Make sure the chicken is boneless and skinless before cooking it further.

Step 3

Take a large container and place it over medium heat first. Once the moisture goes away completely, pour in some mineral water into this pot. Let the water get heated and come to a boil at first. When it happens, pour in the chicken breast slices into the boiling water. Cover this with a lid and let it cook.

Step 4

Take this pot away from the stove and let the Cobb Salad Recipe chicken cook for 25 minutes to maximum 1 hour. Once done, open the lid, place the hot chicken on a plate and slice it accordingly with a knife. This step is called Poaching the chicken. For better results, cut the juicy chicken breast into small dice shapes. Pour 2 tablespoons of dressing from above.

Step 5

Toss salt and pepper from above. As soon as it is properly garnished, set this aside first. Next, take a clean non-stick pan and place the bacon strips on it without turning on the flame. We will cook the bacon on it’s own fat. Turn the heat to a higher setting and soon, you will see the bacon fat starting to melt.

Step 6

For 1.5 to 2 minutes, keep cooking the Cobb Salad bacon strips till they turn golden yellow in colour. Sear the other side too for another 1.5 minutes. Cover a plate with a layer of paper towels and drain excess oil from these fried bacon pieces on it. As soon as you notice them cooling down, chop these into medium-sized pieces.

Step 7

Take a large platter and cover it up with lettuce. Place different ingredients on the top in neat rows first. Place the eggs, avocado, bacon, tomato and chicken first. Take some Blue Cheese and crumble it into the dish from above. Lastly, sprinkle some Chives on the top and pour the dressing on a cup. Your Cobb Salad Recipe is finally ready to eat.

Storage And Serving Options:

● We would not advise but you can freeze this salad for long. Keep it in an airtight container. Like fruit salads that are out there, please try to consume this dish within 2 to 3 days. In case some liquid separates, stir it well before serving.

● Cobb Salad can be served in any manner that you prefer. You can even have it directly from the mixing bowl itself. For house dinners, you can place this between brown breads and serve as a healthy sandwich too.
